The GEMAT Group's Materials Science Laboratory at IQS has recently carried out a study to establish an analytical methodology to detect the presence of microplastics in sediment and soil as well as their chemical characterization in collaboration with the Enzymology and Bioremediation of Soil and Organic Waste Group from CEBAS – CSIC in Murcia.
