Chromatography Laboratory

Laboratory dedicated to the development and optimisation of analysis methods based on chromatographic techniques. Also dedicated to method validation, transfer and analysis of chemical products in general. It has consolidated experience in the chromatographic analysis of a wide range of matrices, from pharmaceuticals to environmental pollutants.

Application of chromatography (HPLC and GC) and other chemical analytical techniques to determine the composition of chemical products in general, products from pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, fine chemicals, food, environmental matrices, etc.

  • Raw materials, active ingredients, excipients, drugs and products of the pharmaceutical industry according to GMP requirements based on own methods, pharmacopoeia methods or methods provided by the customer
  • Determination of richness, related substances, traces and impurities
  • Residual solvents
  • Nitrosamines
  • Development and optimisation of chromatographic methods. Validation. Method transfer
  • Expert advice on chromatographic techniques

  • Composition analysis of chemical products in general

Analysis of nitrosamines, nitrites, and nitrates in drugs

08/01/2021
In July 2018, public health authorities became aware of the presence of the N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) impurity in Valsartan batches for the first time. In the following months, other nitrosamines in drugs were detected from the same family (sartans), such as Ibersartan or Losartan, and in other drugs such as pioglitazone, ranitidine, and metformin.
