Environmental Laboratory
Laboratory specialised in the analysis of dioxins and other persistent organic pollutants in environmental matrices (atmospheric emissions and immissions, water, ash, waste, soil, etc.) as well as in products for human and animal food. Accredited by ENAC according to UNE EN ISO 17025.
Analytical techniques for the determination of dioxins and other persistent organic pollutants:
- Analysis of environmental matrices: atmospheric emissions and immissions, water, leachate, waste, ash and biome, among others:
- Dioxins and furans (PCDD/F)
- Polychlorinated biphenyls (DL-PCB and NDL-PCB)
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH)
- Analysis of human and animal food products, including meat, fish, oils, eggs, milk, vegetables and mineral additives, among others:
- Dioxins and furans (PCDD/F)
- Polychlorinated biphenyls (DL-PCB and NDL-PCB)
GC-MS TQ-8050 NX (Shimadzu)
In 2021, Shimadzu transfers to IQS through Izasa Scientific a TQ-8050 NX equipment, a triple quadrupole GC-MS with the best specifications, which incorporates a highly sensitive ionisation source. This transfer is part of a collaboration for the development of dioxin and furan analysis methods based on TQ-GCMS/MS techniques.
